Sushil Raut, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A shocking incident of abusing, bullying and threatening to kill municipal officials during an encroachment removal campaign in Shahaganj area of the city has come to light. In this case, serious cases have been registered against 10 to 11 former corporators of the MIM party and about 30 to 40 activists at the City Chowk police station on charges of obstructing administrative work.
The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation is conducting a crackdown against unauthorized encroachments. While this campaign was going on, former MIM corporators and supporters gathered there in large numbers and strongly opposed the campaign. According to the complaint filed by the Deputy Commissioner of the Encroachment Department of the Municipal Corporation, these public representatives put immense pressure on the officials present to stop the campaign. As mentioned in the complaint, the former MIM corporators abused the officials on duty in abusive language, bullied them and even threatened to kill them. Not only this, but these office bearers tried to create a law and order issue by inciting the crowd present against the administration.
